owls=reclusive birds of prey

Lets see.... where do we start? Well it started when I was coming home from launching rockets. And just as we pulled up to the drive-way there perched on a branch ten feet from us was a great gray Owl I was stunned. I then started mindlessly grabbing for my camera. ( which i considered leaving home). Then pop said whoa slow down your gonna scare the owl. So I "calmly" took a picture. After that it flew away. Now I had been having lots of sightings of this owl. But to my best efforts no picture. So it felt really good to shoot that picture. (By the way I saw a bird of prey on a power line earlier).
